“My heart and compassion go out to all who have suffered the trauma of betrayal. It is a deep and heavy wound to bear.”
Yet Deborra also shared how she believes in a higher power—whether it’s God, the universe, or whatever it is that moves every person. She said it is this belief that saw her through this difficult period, reminding her that in challenge, there is always a greater purpose.
“It has made me grow and learn so much from this experience,” Deborra continued. “Painful as it is, I believe it all moves us towards doing what we’re supposed to be doing. Ultimately, to get back to who you are and live your life according to your integrity and values is freedom.”
